wedding ceremonies
For all ceremonies performed at the Resort, there will be a set up fee. There is an additional fee for a standing microphone, speakers, CD player and mixer.
beverage
Additional hours of beverage may be added to your package. Consult with your catering manager for more details. Wine service during dinner may be arranged at the per bottle cost.
service charge and tax
Applicable Service Charges of 21% and State Sales taxes will be added to all Food and Beverage served.

deposit and payment procedures
Upon confirmation, an initial deposit of 40% is required to hold your space. An additional deposit of 40% of the remaining balance is due three months prior to your wedding date. The final balance will be due 10 business days prior to your event along with your final guaranteed number of guests due 72 hours prior. All deposits are non-refundable.
minimum revenue commitment
A minimum food and beverage revenue is required to reserve the ballroom. Please ask your wedding coordinator for specific amount.

Most rooms can be set up to match your plans. We offer flexible seating ranging from eight to 12 guests per table.

Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes. The experienced team of our AAA Four Diamond Maryland waterfront wedding location will work with you to fulfill your requests.
Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course. A complete tasting of all the selected menu items, including your cake, will be scheduled several weeks prior to your wedding. At that time, we can make any necessary adjustments.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for the additional time.
Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer or a cash bar. Your wedding specialist will advise you on the costs and inclusions for each.
Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, etc?
A: The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay offers assistance with the coordination of ministers/officiates, floral arrangements, photographers, videographers and entertainment requests. Our extensive experience and resources allow us to handle the arrangements for these services with ease. Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay?
A: Certainly. We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions.
Q: Are taxes and gratuities included in the pricing?
A: No, your contract pricing will not include all taxes and gratuities. All Food and Beverage is subject to a 21% Service Charge and state Sales Tax. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist.
Q: Can my guests have a late checkout the morning after the wedding?
A: We will try and accommodate your guests’ requests, however, this will be dependant upon the overall occupancy of the hotel on the day in question.
Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes. There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your wedding specialist can review with you. Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past.
